This is very helpful! I've had SAI for a long time and I've never known the value of those layer modes!
I have a question though, what program do you use to put the text in your tutorials? SAI doesn't have a text tool, does it?

You have to use wordart though, it won't copy text. :3
When you copy to say, go to layer > luminancy to transparancy, to clear the white background
and then you have the text in Sai ^^

Oh, okay. That's really handy. I've tried copying text from paint over but couldn't get rid of the white box for the life of me. So that's what the luminance to transparency does... Nice! That's saves me a whole lot of heartache. Thank you :3
