This is how my oc, the realisation of my feelings, imagination, etc..., looks like. If I need to change my ideas, and therefor myself, for the sake of others, then there's something fundamentally wrong with this world.
You think black and red oc's suck... and therefore I need to change my ideas?

... I didn't think so. These colours are part of my oc, if I would change them, it would change my oc entirely. And for what reason? Because the opinion of a few people? I'm not shallow enough for that.
There are more pressing matters on what makes a good oc rather than their colours. Why don't we start a witch hunt on EVERY orphan background, EVERY tomboy girl, EVERY unicorn who's got great world-changing powers but doesn't realize it yet, EVERY competing-with-rainbowdash fast pegasus, or for that same matter EVERY pegasus who will never fly... I can go on...
Why are all of these things justified as long as they don't have one of the select few colour schemes that are "not done" (red and black, rainbow and black, etc...)?

put it this way: I made this cake, I put sawdust in it, and you still have to eat it because its immediate and you cannot UNSEE a picture unlike a cake, in which you can puke it out. Do you care if I put "Lots of imagination and I used my feelings oh fuck so deep" into making the cake? No, because deep down inside you want to murder me for trying to make you eat a cake made with sawdust and iced with shit. HOWEVER since you MUST eat the cake you find that I put enough sugar to coat the taste and smell of the shit and sawdust and your actually fine with it. Hell, it even tastes good.
