Mid October Contest: Costumes!Hello everypony!
It's already time to announce our second Draw Off contest for the month. As with the last contest, we have some exciting prizes for the winners - a three month premium membership for first place, 350 points for second place, and 150 points for third.
We're getting close to celebraint Nightmare Night, so this contest's theme is:
Drawn a pony in their Nightmare Night costume
For this contest, our regular rules do apply. This contest is open to all members, art jurors, and art sorters of the group. You are only allowed one entry into the contest, and entries may not contain blood, gore, sexual or suggestive content, abuse of drugs or alcohol, and/or religious and political references. Additionally, entries that were uploaded to DeviantART before the start of this contest will not be eligible for entry.

The Rainbow Parents ContestYES I wanna start a contest, with Sunset Breeze and Lightning Blitz in the spotlights. Two of my most favorite characters who need a little more attention. Firstly I want to know how many people are interested to enter before I even start the contest.
Your job is to create an absolutely sooo awesome creation of the two. This can be a normal drawing, but also a short animation, a comic, a magazine cover or something else you come up with. They can be at the gala, napping on a cloud, flying around, showing their good looks, flirting with each other, spending some family time with their daughter, it can be when they first met, fell in love, had their daughter, or you can use parts from the actual story, also it's possible to draw them as foals, teenagers or adults, it's almost limitless.

Would you like to have your pony OC featured in the background of the 3rd episode of the animated series "Doctor Whooves and the Assistant?"
Now you can! Just follow these rules and your OC MAY be put in the cartoon.
Rules:
-Have an OC that is a pony.
-Draw your OC doing an activity with my OC (stroking my ego, I know) and/or with Pierce Smoulder (OC for :iconbalddumborat

-Bear in mind that even if you do draw a picture, your OC may not be chosen to be put into the cartoon.
Winners will be chosen by myself, my co-animators and BalddumboRat if he/she feels up for it.

I'm planning to hold a contest

I want the participants to draw one or more characters of the BiM cast. More characters is more points, but an amazing drawing of one character is still better then a bad drawing of two or more.
Also I'm thinking about a theme, like... The elements (fire, water, earth, etc), or gala costumes... Or even both, I dunno XD
All character's full body design's aren't online yet, but they will be soon (:
Prizes are:
A detailed drawing of one of your oc's with background for the winner.

3-12-13 : Quick NotesOne of the best ways to calm myself down is to organize things/clean stuff up. It's quite relaxing, and in the end, it makes the future so much more easier and convenient. Is it odd? Hey, maybe I'd make a good servant.
So yea, as a result - One thing I went to go and do is make a quick update to myself on how to draw better poses/expressions -

A subtle trait, but I'm trying to see if I can draw out these ponies slightly different from one another, to make it seem less like copy-paste bodies and such, it'd be kinda really hard but it's something I'm going to try and consider for future drawings.

A: You don't have to ask, just get drawing!

Q: May I draw canon ponies/other OC's with Pack Rat?
A: Yes, you may.

Q: I don't draw, can I write something in stead?
A: I would like to give all forms of art an equal chance, but I personally don't like reading... so, that's not really working in your favour. (In short: don't waste your time.)
Maybe if music is your thing, you could try that. (Not sure what that would end up like, though...).

Q: How many times can I enter?
A: You can enter as many times as you want (or physically can).

Q: Can you give me some pose ideas?
A: Nope, work that brain of yours yourself! There's plenty of reference material to sketch Pack Rat's personality. ^^

A: I'm not easily offended by... pretty much anything. But don't involve my precious Packers in it. (means "No!")

A: Go right ahead.

Q: How will the winners be decided?
